SWAN Isotopen AG was founded in 2008 as Spin-off Company of Inselspital-Stiftung Bern together with private investors and financial institutes. The company established a fully certified radiopharmaceutical production site in Bern, integrating the highest standards in radioprotection and radiopharmaceutical production.

SWAN Isotopen AG holds marketing authorizations for FDG, FCH and FBB.

In close collaboration with the University of Bern, in particular with the Radiochemistry and High Energy Physics research groups, the company participates in the development of targeted radiodiagnostics and therapeutics.

To strengthen our Production Team we are looking for a highly motivated radiochemist.

A young and committed international team will be welcoming you in an interesting working environment which unites commercial production and development of new products. Your key role is to contribute to all steps of manufacturing and establishing new radiopharmaceutical procedures, in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a clean room environment.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Actively contribute to the routine commercial radiopharmaceutical manufacture: processing, assembling, dispensing and packaging
  • Participate in the development and establishment of new manufacturing procedures 
  • Assist with maintenance, qualification and calibration of production equipment 
  • Accurately review and complete all batch records and related documentation 
  • Note: The position includes night shifts


  • (BSc or MSc) or experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Previous experience with GMP and working in a cleanroom environment
  • Willing to work with radioactive materials for clinical purposes under highest safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
  • Committed to fully comply with all applicable policies and regulations
  • Reliable team player, able to work under time pressure
  • Languages: English (at least equivalent to A1), German is an asset
