SWAN Isotopen AG is a fully certified modern radiopharmaceutical company on the Campus of Inselspital, the University Hospital Bern.

In close collaboration with the University of Bern, the company participates also in the development of targeted radiodiagnostics and therapeutics.

SWAN Isotopen AG holds marketing authorizations for the most used PET Radiopharmaceuticals used in Oncology and Neurology:
FDG (Flu-SWAN), F-Cholin (SWAN-Cholin), F-PSMA (SWAN-PSMA-1007) and Neuraceq©.

We are looking for a highly motivated electromechanical technician for our infrastructure and maintenance team, interested in entering the radiopharmaceutical industry. We opened an entry-level position after graduation. The junior maintenance technician will benefit from an extensive learning and training phase together with our experienced team.

 

Job contents:

  • Maintenance, qualification, calibration and validation of:
    - Cyclotron particle accelerator
    - Shielded isolators dedicates to radiopharmaceuticals production
    - Chemistry modules dedicated to radioisotope synthesis
    - Heating-Ventilation-Air-Conditioning automatized ventilation system
    - Classified rooms and environments
    - Plant supervisor system for data acquisition
    - Related medical devices
    - Environmental monitoring system
  • Work in a full GMP standards environment
  • SOP writing and reviewing related to technical aspects
  • Data recording and trending

Maintenance Technician role includes weekend shifts for planned and extraordinary interventions as well as day and night shifts.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: electromechanical technician (Fachhochschule / Haute école)
  • Skilled in handling sophisticated technical equipment
  • Willing to work with radioactivity for medical applications, following strict radioprotection rules
  • Reliable team player, able to work under time pressure
  • Languages: English (all GMP documents are in English), German is an asset
  • Basis knowledge and usage of Excel and Word
